Parklands took a bus to Penguin Athletic Centre on Wednesday December 7, to participate in the NWHSSA Inter High Athletic carnival. We were fortunate enough to have blue skies with little wind on the day, however, this saw us applying the sunscreen regularly to avoid sunburn.

 A total of 44 students were selected to represent PHS. Students were proud to be representing our school and put their best foot forward in each event we entered in. Some of the outstanding individual student performances are listed below:

• John Inglis 1^st in the Division 2 Year 7 100m Sprint
• Jaiden O’Halloran 3^rd in Year 7 Discus  
• John Inglis 3^rd in Year 7 Long Jump
• Isabella Wallis 2^nd in Division 2 Year 8 200m
• Lalli Lea 1^st in Division 2 Year 8 200m
• Isabella Wallis 3^rd in Year 8 Javelin
• Isabella Wallis 3^rd in Year 8 High Jump
• Russi Sturzaker 2^nd in Year 8 Discus
• Hannah Frankcombe 2^nd in Year 9 800m
• Hannah Frankcombe 1^st in Year 9 1500m
• Kobi Lyons 2^nd Year 10 Long Jump

Isabella Wallis was the highest ranked female in Division 2 with 14 and Lalli Lea was the highest ranked male in Year 8 Division 3.
