On the 12May, 8D and 8E had the opportunity to participate in the PCYC challenge at the View Road dog park, just as 8A did 6 weeks ago. Both classes had to work together to finish the course and doing so helped everyone gain a better understanding of teamwork and communication. The course required us to carry a rope and two logs along the entire course and it was easier said than done. We tried many different methods to carry the rope as it was quite heavy and large, but with the help of our team leaders Makinley and Hamish, we successful finished the course carrying all of the equipment.  

Some of our team members put in extra effort while some others didn’t. This was disappointing and removed some of our points from our finale tally during the Evaluation. A lot of us learnt what it meant to be perseverant, and instead of complaining when things became tough, we pushed through, giving our best effort.  Even though we walked through mud and pulled ourselves up hills, we still all had a great time and it really helped us gain trust with other people in our grade and gave us the opportunity to work together as a team.
