Art in Term 2, the creativity has been flowing! In the Art department, we have been working hard on creating artwork to present from Year 7 through to 12 for our upcoming Arts night in Term 3 - details coming soon. In addition, we have been working on Matisse-inspired ‘cut out painting,’ representing Greek mythology stories and working with the Culture Hub and Chalky to learn about Ochre and body art. There truly is some fantastic work coming along and we cannot wait to share the talent these students are displaying. 

I would love to take the chance to say thank you to the students and the Art department for having me join their space while on my placement. You have all welcomed me with open arms and I have been lucky enough to work alongside and assist in developing the skills of these creative students. It has been a wonderful experience here at Parklands High School and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my skills and artistic knowledge with the students.
