Tim Davies - Grange Resources Mine

My name is Tim Davies and I recently went on work experience at the Grange Resources Mine at Savage River. I stayed on site for the week and I was given my own room with a bathroom and TV.  I woke up at 5:00 am most mornings, starting the day with breakfast and then went down to the workshop. I got to ride in a big dump truck and learned how to drive it in a simulator.   I also rode in an excavator and the service truck. I liked the service truck the most; it was really fun. The person that drives the service truck was the best tour guide; we got to stop for coffee, and he showed me around the place where I met a lot of people who were very nice to me. I did a lot of paperwork that was kind of fun also. I learnt how to put out a fire and I got to put one out myself. If you want to go on work experience, I would recommend you go to Savage River as they treat you well and you learn so much.

Nikarna Kay - Glow Cosmetics

Whilst on work experience at Glow Cosmetics, Nikarna was kept very busy creating beautiful make-up displays.
