Empowering Youth BEAST Program

Within the past two terms, Parklands has received another visit from the JCP Empowering Youth BEAST program. Over the span of five weeks, the people who attended the program learnt many valuable lessons, as well as making new friendships and participating in fun activities. We were taken to many places in and around Burnie, Penguin, Ulverstone, Latrobe, and were given the opportunity to go on a giant swing and hike up mountains. We were taught the importance of perseverance and confidence and were also introduced to situations where we could learn about ourselves and our personal values. Overall, this was an amazing experience to have gone through, and we're extremely grateful we were given the chance to attend.
